Nothing changes in Carriacou.

Today we've rung a few people, friends and relations and they all say they've been looking at the blog to check we are OK. So here's a short, not very exciting update to prove we are still alive, fit and healthy.

We are indeed fine and whilst the world goes crazy around us nothing changes for us. Still stuck on the boat, now under 7 days 24 hour quarantine, a daily swim around the boat, managed visits to the dock for water and diminishing food, and more boat jobs.

Completed tasks include completion of the wind steering leg fibreglassing, a new small cockpit shade, tidying my equipment cabin  installing a new USB charging area and fan in our cabin.

It's a struggle to find stuff to write about. Exercise is limited on the boat though Gilly's doing a bit of yoga and I'm doing the exercises my Macmillan personal trainer gave me. Tomorrow we're baking bread because that's getting harder to find and its also radio net day, rubbish collection day and water pickup from the dock. That's it really.

There are now 12 cases of the virus on Grenada's main island but none yet on our island, Carriacou. On most boats each evening we watch the sun setting. As it finally disappears for another day there's a cacophony of horns, kazoos and conch shells to celebrate another day together and apart and to thank the people of Carriacou.

It's just a case of waiting at present along with the 100 or so other boats in the anchorage. Our preferred option going forward, though it changes on a regular basis, is to leave Mehalah here and return to the UK. That looks unlikely at present as we can't even sail to Grenada itself.

Our biggest recent achievement has been a single move Scrabble score of 176 for "atomised". Sorry Jack and Fizzy!

We might as well stop playing now. We'll never beat this!

What else? Oh yes, I've discovered I've been spelling Tyrell Bay wrongly for the last three weeks. Thankfully for us the dive business Lumbadive are still doing a sterling job servicing all the boats in the bay with provisions. Without them we would have to leave Cariacou.
